Ken Henderson stocks for Remington Model Seven/7- feedback and pics wantedHi

    Hi all,

Been in touch with Ken (Hi-Tech) through FB to ask about his Rem Model 7 stock.

He said they are only available in the Sako 85 pattern, but come with a V-block bedding system which makes me pretty keen for one.

However, price wise it's a bit steep after shipping and tax (the Model 7 stainless I have was bought for £400) so before I spend 3x what the rifle cost me I'd like to hear some feedback from you lot and see some pictures, pretty please?

Another question, can you paint them? Not a huge fan of the matt/gloss carbon look.

    Cheers.

Looks good. My Model 7 continues to impress me although I have it in a laminate stock.

Ken's stocks put any other aftermarket stocks I've used to shame, hard to fault them. In my opinion it would be a crime to paint one, they are a work of art!

I can appreciate a good carbon layup as much as the next guy, but they also paint F1 cars...

You can definitely paint them. I do wonder if the sako 85 stock may be a little big for a model seven?

Nice Sako Black Bear there MSL. I sold mine before Ken did the carbon fibre stocks for the 85 as I didn't like the standard Sako finnlight stock (same as the BB except for the colour of the grip panels). One of the most accurate centrefire rifles I ever owned. I regret selling it.

I’m keen on one for my A7 but he only does them in the Sako 85 stock shape which I think is a bit high in the cheek weld for me .

This is the ken henderson stock for remington 7. The action fit straight into it, but be aware that over the years there were several different shapes of Rem 7 trigger guards and that you might have to do a small bit of dremeling internally to fit your particular trigger guard. It is not Ken's fault, it is what it is.
I believe the rem7 overall shape is the same as the Rem 700. The Sako over all shape might be similar, except around the rear tang area which is of a different shape.

I believe you have it wrong, Rem model 7 only fits our Rem Hunter stock with rem v-block - nothing to do with the Sako 85 stock.
