    I'm not sure it's for me to say what they can or can not do. I would feel uncomfortable as it really isn't my business as a New Zealander.

    I understand if you dont feel like messing in other peoples affairs and Im not sure what difference this will make, but if I become a disarmed swede next week or even ten years into the future im not going to be guilty of standing idly by.

    This. Sovereign countries are allowed to make their own law. Last time another country tried to 'suggest' how laws were made, us Kiwis, Australians, Indians, South Africans, Canadians, and every other Commonwealth country got a bit fed up.

    And an internet petition will do absolutely nothing except give people a feel good factor.

    If they impose this it's only a matter of time before they (UN) try to push it here (and a lot of their other sh**). They will say look at what a great example the EU is making. I say do something (ok in a very small way) for out hunting/shooting friends in other nations.

    Paris was just the ideal pretext to try to pass those kind of laws. Since the attack in Paris , French police is cracking down on weapon traffic like they have never done before, in just a few weeks. One is wondering was they were doing before? Of course French media are enjoying confusing the wider population by mixing the illegal gun traffic with law abiding shooters!
