Krylon "Make it stone"
Just thought I'd post a couple of pics on this paint.
I had used some other stuff that refused to set and stay regardless of prep work and drying time.
I installed some flush cups for a Biathlon sling and wanted some texture as the factory stock is light and handles the .243 recoil well.....
Prep work included sanding and degreasing. 2 coats of the Krylon were followed by 2 coats of the Matte clear and it turned out pretty well.

Texture is decent.

Looks good, be interesting to see how it lasts?

Yeah, I read up. It won't last ages but it should be decent. The clear coat is key really. I'll give it a couple more coats to help.

matchy matchy...
it doesn't last that well, but is brilliant for grip in the wet.

Haha!
How many clear coats did you do?
I've just finished the 4th and made it a bit heavier.....
I will probably go Bell and Carlson when I get the funds but this was a nice way of fixing a botch up from me!!
BTW does anyone have a DPT magnum can they want to sell? hahaha... need one

2 coats of Matt clear on mine, thinking about stripping it back and trying an adhesion promoter before the stone paint to try and get it stick better.
