Leica 10x42 geovid hdb
Looking at getting a set of these hdb geovids ,I have mates that have the hd geovids and I was wondering if the hdb's were worth the extra $$$$.i do a fair bit of longrange shooting out to 1100yards and use a rangefinder ,wind meter and the shooter ap at the moment ,I can get a set of hdb 's for $4100 good price?if anyone has some it would be great to hear what they think of them also the set of hdb's I have looked at were in meters(do they change between yards or meters )or do you have to buy a yard or a meter set like the hd ones cheers.

Buy them mate, they are awesome. Can switch between meters and yards. I certainly think they are worth the extra dollars over the hd.

if you have no wife, no kids and no mortgage then buy them, otherwise be like the rest of us poor barstewards and dream about it.

Sorry I'm more of doer than a dreamer

I really enjoy mine. The glass is awesome and the rangefinder works well. Although, I'm a bit disappointed in the ballistic info entry on the Leica website. For what you pay for the binos and their purpose it's a bit basic.

I had HD's and have upgraded to the HD-B's. Over the HD's, they range further and faster, have ballistic info, slight glass improvement and better ergonomics. The protective caps however... Shit! I use a Kuiu bino harness so don't have the caps on the bino's. You would think that they could have engineered a better solution but apparently not...

Hey Claw, are the HDB's better in mist than the HD's?

My HD's were a lot better than some in the mist (my brother's pair didn't go near as good). I haven't done a lot in shitty conditions with the HD-B's but they seem to be better

I have the HD,s. Good thing. Mate has the upgrade. Personally couldn't justify it.
