Leica ultravid hd or ultravid hd plus ?

    Anyone have either?
I know the "plus" is the newer replacement, but I've been offered a pair of old stock "hd" (non plus) at a significant discount. Is the plus worth say an extra $600-700?

I can tell this a big purchase for you and rightly so you want to get it 'right'. You need to look through both (and more binos) and decide yourself.

Look thru them and see but if it were me then buy the latest and greatest cause with Bino's like that you wont be buying another pair in you lifetime!!
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

Well I just spent half an hour looking though a pair of ultravid hd (non plus), took my $600 minox binos along as a bench mark for comparison... Really.. Really struggled to see much visual difference (possibly should go back closer to dusk)

Don't buy the brand. Buy the optics... Your eyes will tell you what's best
