Anyone got the Alumina flip covers on their scope? Are they worth the money?

I am interested in the answer to this question as well
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Currently using them on three rifles, wouldn't be without them now, keeps your scope clear and dry when bush bashing, when it's raining, and when its dusty (Hawkes Bay ).

If you feel a little indifferent to shelling out good coin for them -ask that you get a pair or pairs for xmas or birthday presents, then you will see just how good they are.

Have them on two of my rifles and yes great gear ,dont fly open like others as they have two magnets holding them closed .They flip up and fold back flat against the scope when ready to use so nothing sticking up or out from scope .Got mine from Scott at "The rifle scope Store " in the States .Currently has the sets at $89 US

    Leupold Alumina

I've got a couple sets. They are stronger than butler creek ones but they would still break easy enough getting thru the scrub if your not careful I reckon.
I think I rather bust some butler creek ones. Under half the price of an alumina if you do.
I like how the aluminas open to be flat along the scope, so if you wear a cap, the covers don't distract you by hitting the peak when lining something up. But to be honest that's about it.

So what's the best way to get these? See a few in NZ but $90 for one cap! How easy to import from US? Are they restricted by any stupid law?

Possibly? It would be depending on sizes. I have a swaro one on the objective lens and a leupold alumina on the eyepiece of my hunting model march.
