Thread: Leupold scope ring screws

Can any one help me source some replacement cap screws for Leupold PRW2 scope rings. The screws which clamp the ring to the rail are the main ones I am after. I am fairly certain these are 8-40.
The original one have a sort of dome head on them with a quite shallow Torx slot which makes them very easy to strip out. I can find these off shore but at very high prices, or on amazon which will not ship them to NZ because they classify them as a "firearms part"
I don't live in a main centre so can't just rock up at the local engineer supply shop, I would like to source these in NZ and online. Any help appreciated.

+1for reloading direct. Hes an interesting guy but has got many a thing for me that I couldnt obtain elsewhere.

The Leupold NZ agent will likely have some too. I asked for a spare set when I bought some PRW2 and I dont think they charged me for them.

Have a careful look whether its the screw or your driver thats munted. Removable bits for torque wrench etc are made soft on purpose and so are apparently a disposable item. Two of mine went spaghetti around 10 in.lb in a hex head screw.

I have heaps here that you can have free and an Allan key for them. How many do you need. Pm me and I will send them to you.

Found them thank, they only had 1 on stock with the T15 torx head.
