    Leupold VX5-HD 3-15x44 Vs Minox Zx5 3-15x50 for primarily thar

    Hi folks

    Just joined the forum, seems like a great community, looking forward to getting involved.

    After seeing thar on most of my mountaineering trips on the South island over the last ten years, I've decided to take the plunge and pick up a Tikka T3X Superlite to bring something back other than photos. I've been deliberating between a Leupold VX5-HD 3-15x44 and the Minox Zx5 3-15x50. Does anyone have any experience with either scope, or even better, with both?

    No experience with either but leupold has a good name and no lifetime warranty.... Would come down to weight I guess?

    Yep, bought a VX5. Love it, broke it, Leupold replaced under warranty. Bought another one. Now my rifles all wear Leupold.
