Indications are the new Leupold agents (who appear to be Aus based) are not quite like NZAsia were terms of warranty support and for me that's something I would consider. Hopefully Leupold sorts it out.
I've owned a VX5HD and VX-6 - great scopes. Currently using a Z6i - really like it and got good customer service on it for a repair outside warranty for no cost.

Ah right I didn't know that about NIOA.
I've had a mate had a similar experience to the below thread for some binos. Still trying to get a resolution. Hopefully just teething issues after nzasia ceased being the agents here, time will tell. Nzasia were bloody good to deal with when I needed something sorted on a Leupold.

NIOA have been very good agents for Leupold products in Australia. Nothing but good experiences for the few times services have been needed.

Have a 3-15vx5 but I don’t use beyond 10x when shooting up to 400-500m because I want to be able to spot my shots and see where the deer goes (hopefully no where) through the scope as opposed to looking up. If youre on 15x you lose field of view. I have a 2.5-8 vx3 on my do everything rifle. Very small scope compared to anny of the higher mag scopes and does very well. Still fine shooting out to 500m.
I have a Kahles 4-12 x50 amazing scope and quality. Not as big a name in NZ as others but they really know how to make a top end scope. A second hand one of those would be a good option, light, great warranty and after service on mine has been excellent (via Austria).

i absolutly love my march... i am running 3x of them, a anightforce atcar and a infiray ts60 ( different league thermal scoope ), have had a vx5hd, nightforce nx8, nightforce shv, burris, leica and a feww others. the vx5hd is super clear glass for the price, leica had nice glass but alot less usable full zoom than others, nightforce is a beast, but heavy and expenny. the March is my pick of them all, absolutly love them, love the the weight and the usability. just all round amazing scope for mew from bush to long range.
