    Lone Peak 300 Norma Magnum

I got my 300 Norma Magnum back from Hardy Rifle recently.

They did the build for me and I sourced all the parts from @camo wsm, @Kiwi Greg, NZRAC, NZ Ammo & Custom Guns.

Hardies were kind enough to lend me a McMillan A5 for a shooting comp while the EH1 was on the water.

    Specs:

    Lone Peak Razor 338 Action
Proof Sendero contour 1:9 CF Barrel
    Terminator T3 Brake
    Atlasworxs DBM
MDT mags 3 shot and 5 shot
Trigger Tech Primary Trigger @ 1.5lbs
    Manners EH1 Swamp Camo
    NF ATACR 4-16x50 Mil XT
Hawkins LR Hybrid Rings w 25 MOA
    Badger pic rail
ATLAS BT10 bipod (soon to be swapped for a carbon Vertebrae RPS)
    Lapua Brass

Currently shooting the Hornady 225 ELD-M at 3026 fps into about 15mm groups. Factory norma shoots the same or better at 3095 fps.

Doing load dev with 215 Bergers, 208 ELD-M and 195 ELD-M. The ASE SL5 can works but doesn't really have the volume so we'll be upgrading that.

I regularly stretch it out to 1100m and have shot to 1680m with 3/5 hits at a LR Comp.

Has taken wallabies, hares and other game to 1000m with expected results.

The ATACR tracks well and the 16x at the top end allows for plenty of FoV when shooting ELR, has about 24 mils in the current set up.

    Weighs 3.9kg or 8.5lb.

Nice. Shooting a hare at 1000m with a 16x scope would be fairly impressive to witness!

I didn’t see any hares shot at 1000 but saw the wallaby hit. It’s a nice rifle to shoot.

Not 100% sure but it’s north of $100 a box.

I'm also very interested in this caliber as a step up from my win mag, very nice build, can I ask why you chose Hardy to build it for you?
