Looking for a New Hunting rifle

I am looking for a First hunting rifle, and I am stuck between a Tikka t3x superlight and a Bergara Extreme Hunter both in 6.5 Creedmoor. Just want to know about anyone's experience with either of the rifles, Thanks.
or if there are any other rifles sub $2000 that are better.

    Welcome to the forum.

Cant really go wrong with any of the rifles you listed, nor with the calibre.

Before heading to the hills spend eenough time at the range to get to know your rifle, how to safely operate it and if need be get some coaching on shooting well.

Other than that - best of luck hunting, stay safe.

Handle them and see. I prefer the Tikka myself.

Wait till Tikka comes out with an 8T in 243. Then run Hammers as you need a fast twist. Hammers will replace Barnes as they are like hens teeth.

If you can I would try and test out a couple of rifles first.

Shooting a forgiving slightly heavier rifle to begin with will no doubt help 4

I have fixed a tonne of bolt faces in bergara rifles that have had the primers flow back down the
Firing pin hole, bushing the face of the bolt and turning the pin down till it is a nice fit and polishing
The new ones are better it looks like but not to the same tolerances as a tikka
Creedmoor was particularly bad couple years back for making the issue show up

Don’t ever really touch a tikka unless someone has had a play
Or it needs bedding or a trigger job both of which most people do on the bergara as well

One might fit you better hit a shop up and close you eyes bring up to your shoulder and
Open your eyes you should be looking through the scope and it might feel more natural

Iv had tikkas for the last 10yrs,no problems wth them mechanically.I wouldnt get a superlite tho, just heat up to easilly if you a firing a few rds at the range or culling a mob of tahr or roos.Stick with the t3x lite and keep yr barrel length 20"+.

Had no issues with my Bergara. 308 so far. Seems to do everything I want.
Consider the second hand market as well. Hunting rifles get carried more than they are shot so as long as they have been maintained they should be ok
Don't neglect getting a good quality scope and rings with an decent warranty. No point buying a good rifle and then putting a crap scope and rings on it
