Has anyone slapped an LPVO on a pistol caliber lever action? Is it worth it for something that only has around 100 yards effective range?

Not a lever action but i had a 1.5-4×20 scope on my ruger 77/44, shot deer out to 200m with it. If you chuck a scope on and it groups like shit take it back off and run the open sights
I've used a fixed 2.5 power on my Marlin 44Mag with no problems.
(the standard 3-9 or 4-12 is just silly)
Mines a single shot but on my 357 I run a Leupold VX-HOG 1-4x20.
Nice thick reticle for close work in the bush, and great on deer and goats out 100-150m.
Size and capability suits this sort of rifle really nicely
Picked up VX5HD 1-5 to run on my BLR unfortunately I've just sold it so it's now on my CVA 500S&W single shot
Would be perfect for any thing from 2-200m
I'm messing with putting a little reflex red dot sight on my .44 lever action.
It depends if you are loaded for youtube or loaded for bear.
I've tried so far:
3-7x30 leupold (similar to the pigplex one). That was ok. Nice and light.
3-14x42 Nikko. That thing is gold for the money but watch your top screw torque settings. High recoil or no, if your power adjuster jams then you're too tight no matter what the reccomended setting are. This scope is thin walled but tbf it has survived and I've not brained myself on the eye bell.
Lastly, I bought a holosun combo with a 3x magnifier and red dot. Great fun but is limited at 200y. The dot is kinda too big for precision at that range.
But they can all come out for a try on other rifles.
I run a Sig Romeo 4 red dot on my 30-30
No issues with recoil effect

I have a 1-4 x 32 Bushnell on my my Rossi 22 magnum lever action. On 1x power you can shoot with both eyes open.
I ran a 2-7x 32 Redfield for a long time on my Marlin 336 for tight bush hunting. Typically didn't leave 2 power. Worked great in my experience.
I started with an aftermarket aperture sight (even managed to shoot my first Sika stag up kiko road with this combo), however after upgrading to a scope, really appreciated the increased precision for head/neck shots in tight country.
HiI’ve been playing with optics on lever actions too—mostly .357 and .44—and I’ve found that LPVOs can absolutely make sense, especially for fast target transitions inside 150m. If you pick the right glass with true 1x and a forgiving eye box, it actually complements the lever gun’s natural pointability.
I’m currently testing out the ODIN FFP LPVO from GUNNR. It’s built more with tactical use in mind, but the 1-6x28 setup feels surprisingly at home on a short carbine.
