If you are going down the track of making a leftie stock for a right hand action, consider making it ambi dextrous so both left and right hand shooters can use it. It essentially means that you make the left side so that it is comfortable and fits you, then make the right side the same. Doesn't work with thumbhole designs as well, but something like the Knoxx Axiom or Knoxx Talon is an example. (Think of the shape and style rather than the materials used.)
Bugger that, if I'm making a stock I ain't letting anyone else play with it! And I was thinking thumbhole going on a cz455 17hmr but not sure my piece of totara is going to be big enough
