Hey guys, I'm in the market for an AR platform 22 and I've been looking at the Hammerli Tac R1 22 and the Smith & Wesson Mp Sport... the Hammerli won't be in till October and the Smith & Wesson I can't get any info on so far! Do you guys have or recommend any other brands as I'm new to Semi Autos... TIA
Smiths are due @ the end of the mth along with a pile of other rugers . I would bet that the entire shipment is sold out .
NZAR15 has Defiance AR22 s coming. Prob sold out though as well
I own a S&W MP15 which I might be interested in moving at some point, just putting it out there.
But it has been a really decent rifle

Thanks guys for the info I’ve actually just been on the phone with grant from tactical imports and am on the list for the next batch of Kriss 22’s coming in 30 days.. he still has some left if anyone is after one! I ordered the FDE version just couldn’t go past it!
Just picked a Kriss DMK22 LVOA from Tactical Imports. The build quality for the rifle is extremely awesome.

Mine is like that except I have a magpul grip and ctr stock. I would just say the handguard is a tad heavy, it is quite thick metal and uses a proprietary rail system that doesnt have enough cut outs imho. I'm actually going to put a shorter stainless barrel on mine and swap out the handguard for a lighter shorter one I have. I have a Titanium suppressor I picked up cheap so it should be a nice light compact bunny gun.Quote:

Tried some ammo last week OUT OF BOX shooting:
CCI velocitor: Shoots fine but cannot lock back
CCI standard: Have some failure to eject issue every roughly 30 rounds.
CCI minimag: Could double feed sometimes (every 1 or 2 mags)
I've took gun apart and lube every parts after initial shooting test. I'll try some subsonic ammot this week to see how this beauty shoots.
They have an issue with the mag tab spring in the magazines (not the actual mag spring, the spring for that little tab in the magazine that pops up to hold the bolt back) not being strong enough sometimes to hold the bolt open, especially if the action is dirty or you're using weaker ammo... I think maybe it doesnt retract the bolt hard enough for the tab to have time to fully push the bolt catch up. These rifles are popular in the UK and there is a Facebook group for them, over there they install stronger springs to sort this.Quote:

it will work on any mil spec 22 upper
I personally doubt it. I just can't see them letting milspec lowers in that are capable of being used with a centrefire. Also I have heard they are now paying out for lowers so that kind of answers that question. It may change in time but who knows,.Quote:
