I have heard a rumour that Marlin ( or whoever now owns the name??) have ceased production.
I had someone looking for a 450marlin cal lever action & had no luck finding anything new or used.
Does anyone out there know whether these rifles have been demised?????:oh noes:
Don't know if they are still in production but the 450 Marlin is an orphan it never took off in the US I know of one here, the cases are out of production you may find some ammo if you search
the gun shops,
Just buy a 45/70 there are still some of them popping up on Trade Me it will do what ever the 450 can with a 350 grain bullet it is only 100 fps or so faster

P.S. I have a packet of Hornady 450m ammo here.
They have stopped production of the 450marlin, Hornady still makes ammo. The only firearm still chambered for that calibre that is still in production is the Browning blr. Plenty of guide guns in 4570 and you can get 2200fps using 350gr projectiles and adi2207 powder.
My brother has a Marlin .450 stainless with the black (pepper?) laminate stock. He was contemplating selling it a month or so ago. Do you want me to check if it's on the market?
