A little more research reveals that this was probably a Model C, the stock is the key clue, it's got a steel buttplate, rounded pistol grip and a few other subtle hints.
The interesting thing is Model C's are pretty rare as they were the "cheap" Mauser sporter.
I'd be happy to buy an entire sporterised mauser to get the right bolt so if you have one based on any of the 1903 Turk, 1909 Peruvian, or 1935 Argentine let me know
The 1909 Argentinian is a standard length, the 1909 Peruvian is an intermediate, both are 7.65x53. The Peruvian has a high bolt release that holds the charger clip.
How have you got on with this? I see Sarco in the States have a fresh import of Turk bolts.
