Meopta Meopro 10x32 HD's
Hey guys,
I see that Cameraland NY has these on sale for $299 USD.
Looking for some advice on whether a 10x32 is a good choice for an all around binocular with low light performance as a top priority or whether a pair of 10x42's would be better?
I'm drawn to these Meopta 10x32's for a couple of reasons, the main ones being light weight, they have a FOV of 384 feet at 1000 yards which eclipses alot of 10x42's that have a 340 feet FOV at 1000 yards and that Meopta produces quality optics.
I know that a 42mm objective will let in more light however Meopta lenses have a 99.8% light transmission per lens surface thanks to their coatings (Meobright) and they use Schott glass for their prisms. Can it be assumed that higher quality glass in a binocular with a 32mm objective will make up for the smaller diameter lens compared to a 42mm lens?

In Bino's glass quality is everything but how they suit your eyes is also a major part of the combo.
So my main pairs of hunting Bino's are Leica 10 x 25 compacts ( I wear on my belt ) or Swarvo 8 x 32 EL's ( I wear on my chest in a Kuiu bino harness )
I love the Leica's as they're small'n'light glass is pretty good but I do wish they were 8 powers, the EL's are awesome with excellent glass, 8 x 32 are a great alrounder but you do need good glass to get the best out of 32's.
My Truck Bino's are Weaver Grand slam 10.5 x 45, I really rate these as budget binos, good weight & glass for the price.
In good glass the difference between 32 - 42 may only be five minutes of extra viewing, In lower priced it may be 10 plus, If you're set on low light then go for 42's, I've never tried Meopta binos but at $300 US they're mid range at best so go for the bigger option I reckon. If you're set on 32's go for 8 powers as I think 8 x 32 works better together.
Hope that helps

I have a couple of Meopta scopes , don’t know anything about their Binoc’s , but the quality of their optics is not understood by most and for the price I have been very impressed ( I have Swaro , Ziess , Kahles optics of a few different persuasion, and the Meopta is up there for clarity and low light performance) .
