    Mini Action Tube Gun

Seeing this ( https://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Lis...?id=2605383667 ) on TM today got me thinking - I wonder if a Howa mini could swung up in a couple of machines and turned so it would fit in a tube - then "replication" of the SSRNZ action might be possible. Biggest problem might be the trigger, a hanger like that used on Barnards might work. Whether it was "economic" would be a whole other discussion.

It would have to be the same diameter as a rem 700.
You have to get a lot of extrusions to get a special run.
I think he said 100 meters.
    Maybe you could sleeve it.

150kgs is the minimum for most places, and that’s for a listed non stock product

Tube guns need a round action like a rem 700
It can be as simple as exhaust tube so the stories go
Howas are flat in the base of the action

I have had the pleasure of handling one of these. I wish I had a spare $2.4k sitting around........

I can't decide whether I like the look of SSRNZ or not, I've handled/shot a few other "Tube guns" and like the ergonomics for "shooting" but I think I still prefer a wood stock for hunting.

The SSRNZ is a neat part of NZ fire-arms history, but too much $$ for me as well.
