Model 7 action bolts?
The rear action bolts on my model 7 is seeming a bit sad in regards to the state of the pocket. I am lairy to have to torque it to spec and complete the rounding (not my doing).
What is the best option for a replacement? Find one from a machinist shop or something else?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

You don't really need to tighten the rear action screw on the Model 7 too much anyway - just barely tight enough is all I do. Those little 3/32 hex heads are super easy to round out if you aren't careful - my stainless 223 was bought new and the rear action screw head was pretty much rounded out straight from the factory ...

I can't recall the size but Black's fasteners were able to supply me some that just needed adjusting for length. The head was different from the OEM but less likely to strip out.

Yeah I would like to get one in Torx if I could. I'm aware it doesn't need a bunch of kina's but I don't want to have to worry about it stripping ON there... spend way too much time wet lately and the OCD won't allow me to put it away without pulling action and fully drying. As an aside @Tentman do you recall what the thread pitch etc was? Lost me fecking gauge somewhere lately and it's a fair haul to any fastener supply from us I reckon.

I am not Tentman but the rear action screw is 8-36 same as the middle action screw on a 700 ADL

Remington action screws are 1/4"UNF, if the model 7 is the same as the mod 700
Anzor do them in 316ss
Edit. Looks like they aren't. Not sure if Anzor do 8-32.

Here is what I measure as an 8/36, but I don't have a thread Guage. 37mm long. If it will work for you it's yours.

I had to google it for mine but apparently the spec for the rear action screw is only like 15 inch-pounds, way less than I would have guessed.
