    I know of chaps who have chopped binos in half to make one. Very tempted as have old set of veis 10x50s with awesome clarity but barrels no longer line up. Too heavy to cart around compared to modern stuff but optically awesome....if you faff around and hold them correctly,cutting them in half leaving the guts on preferred barrel would solve both issues.
