Mossberg
After waiting for around 4 months my FAL has finally arrived  so I'm looking at buying my first rifle. Can anyone offer me some advice on Mossberg, and whether it is regarded to be a reputable brand? They seem to be fairly middle of the road in terms of price, but from an accuracy and reliability perspective - how do they do?
Thanks in advance for any advice anyone is able to offer!
Cheers

their shotguns last forever and give very few issues.
first rifle could be better off with a 2nd hand one for less price and spend the difference on decent scope (read Leopold)
there are heaps of good quality older rifles around that still have plenty going for them, depending on what you wanting to shoot a good solid 2nd hand rifle might be all you require and it will never be a bad purchase as even if you do decide later to buy something else new the experience you have gained will teach you what you want and need in a rifle and the old girl can be a spare.

Timmay on here has $500 6.5mm for sale....just the sort of thing I was meaning.

A friend of mine has a mossberg ATR in 308, have shot it a couple of times. Will be shooting it a lot this weekend coming so if you want I can let you know how it groups, but from memory the trigger is decent, it has a nice squishy butt pad which is good cause it doesn't weigh much so the .308 punches you in the shoulder a bit.
