    My Remington R15 was damn accurate.
    That disparity between semi and single isn't really there anymore though
    That's not a single group, there are 4 shots down that hole

    Going by the size of the hole I'm guessing 5, with an es of around 10fps?

    My old Browning 308 Shorttrac ( while not some fancy black ops tacipoo cannon ) was a bloody good shooter, wasn't fussy about ammo & once I had it re-crowned it would shoot rapid 5 shot groups at .75 moa
    Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

    Daniel Defense LW 16" shooting 75bthp Hornady handloads 0.3", won't shoot 55's to save itself and thought was an expensive piece of crap when first bought it. Have Fred Eichler Series Rock River Ar shoots well and not so fussy. Have a gen2 dpms 308 haven't even shot yet, plan is to put a 6.5 barrel on it as Mark G above. Maybe a Krieger, Faxon or Proof?

    This is my mini 30 with PPU 123 grain. Only ammo it seems to like. Definitely not a tack driver but ok. I'll get the trigger lightened some time and see what that does to it.

    @dogmatix knows about Veprs

    My M1 Garand is pretty damn accurate with handloads. Nothing really comes close to AR's though in terms of functionality and accuracy potential. If you have an AR with a good barrel and a good trigger, it will shoot well.

    I think it's Nigel B? who shoots at ASRA has a .223 Vepr shooting Vs with a red dot and steel cased ammo consistently.
    My .308 Vepr could do sub MOA with handloads if you didn't heat the barrel up, but tended to average 1.5 MOA otherwise.
    Still good for an AK action.

    That's looks like something you would see in 'Restrepo', in the Korengal Valley shooting at the Taliban.

    What's the saiga accuracy like? 223 vs 7.62 x 39. Or would an ok sks be better?
