My gevarm won't go!
Have had a gevarm carbine for a while had the occasional lockup of the trigger, click but the bolt won't go forward. Tap it there is a click and pull the trigger again she goes. Today this didn't work so dismounted the trigger assembly the pin holding the vertical piece at the back of the trigger block is missing and it's floating around but I can't figure out what it does or how the trigger works will put up some photos later but if anyone can help.........

In a gervarm there is a block that does "float" as its how they stop them going auto.
Do you have a take down or a solid one?

Unfortunately I'm not near mine to look. Photos are probably needed

removing the pin behind the trigger will allow you to rock the trigger forward to look at it
there is nothing complex about whats inside
unless you havent correctly lined up the two pieces when youve put it together there isnt much to go wrong

An enormous amount of unburnt powder and gunge in the assembly was the issue, preventing the bolt catch pivoting far enough for the sear to disengage. Goes again now so perhaps I should start another thread my gevarm goes.

sounds like you need to strip and clean her a bit more regular like.....
-
If your getting that much unburnt powder it could be worth adding some extra weight to the bolt-I have found it really helps.
Swapping the spring guide around just doesn't seem to cut it with modern ammo
-
Have you got the screw in front of the trigger in the right place
those in the know will know what i mean lol

As far as I know it had never been cleaned before, have had it for 2 fun filled years, the previous owner bought it new. Only had it "rock n roll" once with some old cac subs I was burning off bit of a suprise that was!

Sounds like a reasonable cleaning period to me
