My new Hardy suppressor - Photos

My new suppressor and cut down .308 arrived today. Exactly eight days after I sent it off to Dan Hardy. Got the barrel cut back to 18 inches and with Dan's new design it means the OAL of the rifle with suppressor on is 1/8" shorter than before it went away. Got the 14 x 1 thread which left plenty of shoulder. Balance of the rifle is good and the all up weight is now 7.5lbs.

It weighs 338gms and length is 248mm from the back of the bush to the front of the suppressor. Haven't fired it yet as I'm in the process of shifting house and have my reloading gear packed away for two weeks.

That's 60mm shorter than my G/W duralium, how far forward of the muzzle do they sit?

A few PMs by Hardy users endorsing them, mates that have Hardy's, the lower weight, the shorter length and lastly the GW one I saw bulge recently.

Finally got the shortened rifle out today and worked up some loads. Changed to AR 2206H rather than my usual AR 2208. Got 2800fps with 150gn SSTs with 47gns and 2630fps with 165gn Sierra GK HPBTs and 45.5gns.

With the 165gn load ladder test four shots made one ragged 1/2" hole with 44,44.5,45 and 45.5gns.

Have loaded a few rounds with the above velocity loads and a few with more powder for tomorrow's final test before it hopefully slays some roaring reds over the next week or three.

First two groups are test loads, last group was after the scope was adjusted for sighting in at 2.3" high @100yds. Look closely and you'll see each is a three shot group. Pretty happy.

nice setup! what leupold have you got mounted?
    good groupings too

Tikka's/sako's are great rifles and would fully buy another one although one thing I've done is put limbsaver pads on as the tikka pads are brutal on the shoulder and taken the tikka alloy rings off and popped either optilocks or burris rings.....

on the subject of Hardy supressors I should be getting my AR-15 back with its new one this week so I'll pop photos up and compare it to dads tikka 223 g/w's supressed one with a decible reader....
