It is basically a rimless .357 Maximum, will be chambered in AR 15 as it is the .223 case blown straight, will be a good cast bullet cartridge in a bolt gun

It looks like a fat M1 carbine round, and about as useful! It would probably be OK as a bail gun with a suppressor. The video showed what appeared to be a couple of quick spinal shots that dropped the deer (back legs collapsing is the give away) and a couple of chest shots that the deer ran away from. Not my idea of a hunting cartridge.

New my arse! Its the 351 winchester self loading of 1907 reinvented in a rimless rather than semi rimmed case the old bugger did 1850 fps same as the legend but with a rn bullet and was only considered a medium game round. Must be some wizzbang bullet now, as i think the packet in the video has the word sabot on it.

You are right! I forgot about the old .351 Win Auto. It was never overly successful but had some US East Coast use as a short range brush cartridge. It main use was as a Police rifle, and then of only dubious value.

Another low powered Ar round, really scraping the bottom of the barrel for this one. 358 norma mag, 35 whelen or 358 winchester if I were going to the 35 bore.

Apparently there are States in the US that , for some reason , only allow for the use of straight wall cartridges . So it has some merit there but would suffer from practicle issues of head space and feed/ extraction but is something that could work in an AR platform ? . And everybody loves an AR .

The more urban states in the east limit hunting to short range parallel case big bore calibers, rifled shotguns and black powder only. Reduces the incidents of stray bullets flying all over the show.

any new cartridge is the product of the marketing division of a gun company. There is nothing that hasnt been done before , just better materials and powders and barrel steels to try it again.

Field of Dreams - if you build it they will buy it ......
