    A new scope Trijicon

Recently was offered a Trijicon Credo 2.5-15x42 at bargain price as the illumination was defective. Decided to take a punt hoping the reticle was not so fine that it would be difficult to use without illumination. So far I’m very impressed with scope, optical clarity & reticle design. No issues with dark backgrounds or low light. It’s got plenty of come at 20moa per turn. Mounted on my Wby Ultralight 708 and took it to range today to get it sighted in. Really nice optics.
Don’t see Trijicon here in NZ much these days, which is a pity. I guess our exchange rate to USD makes them a bit pricey. They retail for US$1200-1300 in US.

Could you now get the illumination fixed under warranty?
Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.

@Tahr The seller was the old importer so I kind of doubt it.

And Trijicon exclude illumination from their guarantee, which is more or less an admission that’s it’s prone to fault. Pretty dumb really, if you don’t have a reliable illum system then don’t include one at all. You’d think Trijicon would be able to source the right components as plenty of other brands have reliable illum systems.
Despite this I really rate the optics quality and performance. Definitely put it ahead of my VX5.

In the Rockslide scope drop tests the Trijicons come out right at the top for reliability. Take from that what you will, but it must say something about them.

I like the idea of the ones with the light tube in them
    Don't need batteries.
The single digit vary powers with that type of reticle are a very good option for dangerous game rifles

@Tahr I see Ron Spomer has a video on the new Tract.
It's not all of them, but it's always them.

    Saw that.
Ive got its brother on my Kimber 257R

Tract didnt' do very well in the Rockslide drop test. But my 3 have had very unfortunate lives and have held up well. And Brian has 2 and his approach doesn't show much love either. So either we are bull shitting or the drop tests are warped in some way. Gimp thinks the latter.

Mind, top tier scopes like Swaro Z5 didn't do very well either.
What! You reckon Brian is a bit rough?
