Thanks gillie, might have to give it a whirl just for trails sake.

That pobjeda is like buck shot compared to some of the others in that test.

Yeah it's an old thread but still relevant.

@Gillie bloody hell that's some good shooting! Do you use a suppressor with the subs/std velocity or does it effect accuracy/reliability?

Where is the best place to pick up a decent range of match 22lr ammo?

Ive got an anschutz 1416 i think the model is. Learnt to shoo with it anx bought it off my old man and the thing is a machine. Ive probably put a few thousand rounds through it killed hundreds of possums rabbits and hares with it. Even killed a 80-90lb sow with it one day. Longest kill ive managed with it is 152 smoked a hare. Bloody good guns if this one ever dies ill buy another anschutz

    Cheers,
Seems counter intuitive ? any idea what was going on with the 200m groups?

    Google's been listening.

Any tried barrel tuners on a rimfire? Seen guys using them in f-class etc
Those Bleiker target rifles rock. Of course, it pays to bear in mind that with any accuracy test the result is only applicable to the specific rifle used. The next Bleiker off the production line may and almost certainly will produce a different result. Rimfire ammo is further complicated by the accuracy variances in different batches of the same type/brand even though there is strict quality control on the more expensive target brands.

Extreme .22 LR accuracy is a fascinating subject.

    Exactly right.

Nice to see so many various brands tested in one spot though.
Google has been spying on me and it popped up on my home page.

Mate finally got a chance to put a couple bits together on my quad.

I really like my Ruger 77/22.It feels like a propper Rifle, the bolt is alot more solid in function than most rimfires. The Barrel has been cut back to 12" to make it standard length with a Can.

It shoots like a dream and hasn't let me down in 21 years.

But I see nothing wrong with having it on a .22, why not.
