    Nikon monarch scope issue

Im using a nikon monarch 4-16x50sf on my tikka 300wsm on talleys rings. And it has been awesome for a couple of years. Never needed sighted or adjusted(only when I changed ammo) but with my latest load, I needed to adjust 4" down and 4" left. I adjusted it 4 moa on each dial(16 1/4" clicks.) She went left spot on. But went down twice as far. And its moving 1/2" clicks up and down now. What would cause this? I did think my shooting for a start. But consistant 4 shot groups are 1/2" so I dont think so?

Sigh. Just another shit 'scope. Biff it. I've had plenty, including Leupolds. Honestly, it seems that you need to go to top end to out-money the shit.

What's happening if you use the original load ?

And if you try to "walk" the scope around a square, 2 up, 2 left, 2 down, 2 right ?

    Nikon monarch scope issue

Is it possible that it always had .5 moa elevation click values and you have only just noticed as your skills have improved.

A thread pitch on an elevation turret cant just change all by itself.

Its been a great scope and nah never had .5 clicks as ive been a pretty straight shooter for a few years now. And have been dialing it out for heaps of clean 500m+ shots.(at that range doubling up would be a mile out) the only thing I can think may have done anything is when I sight it I always reset to 0 on both turrets

Take it to the range again and have another go, try walking it like EBF said, there is no way the thread pitch can change, sometimes these things can be in the mind!

If it is still doing it send it back, should have a lifetime warranty

What are these scopes like? I looked at the 3-12x42 sf and it looked ok. Thought about putting it on a 243.
