    Nikon repair?

    Hi Team,

So I have made an oopsie, and dropped my rifle during cleaning.
This resulted in my Nikon busting the elevation turret cap!!
It is no longer able to adjust and turns freely.

Is there somewhere/someone who might repair this, or is it not even worth bothering?

    Thanks!

The only (as far as I know) offical NZ service/repair agents for Nikon are A & E electronics at New Brighton, other people are good at fixing things too but often only the official agents can get parts.

Might be worth claiming it on your contents insurance?

Call backs, to pay for scope, but not time to shoot, coz I'm doing callbacks

@muzza @GravelBen, I have already sorted it with the contents claim, thanks.

Just doesn't feel right it sitting in a box, unused and unusable...I'm sure I've got another rifle in need of a scope...or in future a scope in need of a rifle

Richard Wilhelm was a primo scope fixer back in the day.
    Might be worth a ring/visit.

Talked to him a few months ago about scope repairs, stated it was something from yesteryear, said obtaining parts was too difficult in todays climate.

Gee that's a bugger. Especially for some of the older good scopes.
Pita to send them back to factory but from what I hear the likes of Kahles etc. do a very good job
