You can modify the Saiga in 7.62x39 to accept standard AK mags but it requires some replacement parts which may be difficult to get.

Of course not! I plan on pinning any high capacity magazines down to 7-rounds. I just like the look of the banana magazines. Thank you for your warm welcome, and your response. I was leaning towards the NHM90 anyway; the Saiga rifles appear to have far too much plastic on them.
