Yup. Most would find it surprising that the marksmanship component is by far the easiest of the skills a candidate learns.

Shooting makes up only about 10% of the role.

So someone who shoots for 10% of their role will be better than 100% of civilians at shooting?

Never underestimate a group of civilians doing what they have a passion for, and you can hardly form that opinion having not met the civilians that are being talked about, however Brads can as he's viewed extensively qualified/trained snipers in the same place and conditions as the civilians being spoken about.

Note: I know bugger all on the subject.

FFS! Talk about puttting words into people mouths.

    I am out.

You legends should all be recruited by our Army coz your all such awesome fucking shots, way better than anyone in the military because someone says they seen a few shoot once. Awesome sample size there. A few days or a week tops?

Amazing that they were allowed in somebody's paddock with issue weapons.

Forgive me, I spent nearly 20 years in the job and thought it nieve to make the claim that all snipers would be schooled by a bunch of dabblers in a paddock.

A lot of our badged guys have competed internationally against the best equipped armies in the world and have won shitloads of accolades and medals.

How many lead singers at Tobys shoot have international medals? None?
But would if they could eh?

So why do you find it unbelievable that a 'civie' could outshoot a sniper?

    I don't . I simply said I didn't believe they wouldnt get schooled.

Again read and absorb what you want.
Marksmanship is 10% of the role but did I say they were not good at it.
To be fair it was the most practiced but least important skill.
But you guys know everything about both sides so I will leave yas to it.

Only a couple of peoples abilities at shooting gongs in a casual environment were mentioned. You screwed the rest of the story around all by yourself.
