I have seen some info about new regulations for AR15 stocks in NZ.
Can someone post a link to the official regulations - with thanks in advance.
Would something like this be OK ?

basically to comply with A-cat you need a thumbhole stock, no flash hider, 7rnd magazine maximum.

before you import, write to the police arms office and fill out the appropriate forms first!!!!
Don't forget about sorting the export documentation on the US side before you leave too, no one wasn't to end up in the slammer for breaking ITAR regs. It would probably be worth buying a few and bring them across and selling them to cover your costs.

Thanks for the reminder. I don't have a problem leaving the US with a rifle and the NZ Police are very good to deal with when visiting with a bolt action firearm, but if I bring that same rifle back to the US, I need a Certificate of Registration of Personal Effects Taken Abroad - which is easy to get from Homeland Security.
Last time I looked online with NZ police, the Mossberg MMR was not listed as a rifle that could be imported so I realize I have to consider that aspect before just showing up with it at Auckland airport !
A one off shipment of the mossbergs came into nz by a forum member so they will be good to go.

I would simply remove the standard A2 stock and pistol grip rather than fit that thing to your gun. Customs would have a ball trying to work out WTF that thing is and whether its A-Cat.
IMHO those things shouldnt be used as they look like a safety hazard with incorrect hand position etc.
