Old BDL in New Clothes. Picture story.
Figured I'd give this a go
I bought this a long while ago now for a fair price I thought, bought rifle and rings, scope is mine Rifle made in 1990.

Shot quite well with factory ammo , this is a fair representitve, shot over a pack not a bipod.

I was reasonably pleased anyway, stock hadn't been bedded, rifle seemed factory except for having the iron sights removed., it accounted for a few wallaby then I went here just a few wereks ago looking for something bigger.

Didn't see anything, was unslinging the rifle from my shoulder when it dropped off, went straight down and smacked onto a rock right on the heel of the butt. If I had of put a rubber recoil pad on instead of staying with the hard plastic the pad may have absorbed the impact, however......
So when I got home I took these.

I had looked at putting it into a Sythetic stock earlier and now as a matter of necessity I had a poke about the net, an Email then buy from these guys Red Hawk Rifles and 5 days later this was in Auckland
Bell And Carlson Alaskan 11, full length bedding block etc, weight is good.

About the same number of working days later it managed to clear customs and find it's way the the South Island where this happened to it.

I was going to sight it in early this morning but it was raining here, hence the time on my hands
The original stock has been glued together with the assistance of a local joiner and looks good though The join will always be there to see though.
The photos of the new stock are lousy I think it's better than that.Hopefully she will still shoot.
