    Old bentey scope

    I was given this old Bentley a while back and am wondering if anyone here knows much about them.i think it's a 4 but the number has worn off a little

    that looks like a 4x20. There used to be quite a few of them around about 35 years ago.

    I had a couple of 4x32 for centerfires. Very good value and they still work OK.
    But quite faint and difficult to see through, compared to a 21st century budget scope.

    This one looks just like one we used on an airgun in 1975.

    Not swaro clear, but not as bad as I would have thought. And a nice very fine reticle.

    I think these were made under several differant names , but they were all low-end-of-the-market scopes for .22s and air rifles. Interesting little scopes , clean it up and leave it on your shelf as a piece of history.

    I mounted a bentley 3 - 12 X on a Mk4 No1 Longbranch.
    Shit scope that wouldn't hold zero and very average optics.

    I have a "Light" made in Japan, works good enough for a .22 and the open sights can still be used.
