    Old Pump action .22

I bought this pump action Remington 12a along with a BSA sportsman 15 with Parker Hale Aperture sight from my wife's grandparents estate, both have had very little use
Thought it would be good for the kids to learn to shoot with but despite being a small .22 it has a very long comb
Local gun shop says they are very collectible in this condition, especially with the Lyman peep sight, but will only sell on behalf, but I don't know much about them

Is there any value in it?

    Yes these are collectable.

However you may obtain your best price at an arms auction as these auctions attract all sorts of collectors.

I did a total refurbish on one of those about 12 months ago. Surpriseingly you can still get parts for them as well

Suggest you phone one of the reputable NZ Auction people (i.e. Ted R or Greg C) to get a local auction sale estimate range. Remember to deduct their commission fee.
Ted Rogers should be in the link provided in post #2. For Greg C google Carvell's Auctions.
