Old Wetsuit Scope cover
I normally use a piece of car tube for scope covers to keep off the rain (and use as fire starter if stuck). It’s getting harder to find with tubeless tyres these days, so when cleaning out the garage I found an old kids wetsuit. It was due for the bin so out with the scissors and the leg area was just the right diameter for the little 3-9x36 on the bushpig. I made about 5 so I’m sorted for a while. Might be a useful tip for someone else…..

that pair of waders your ex mate left behind in your garage work even better....gives a little bit of padding to scope too.

Lol Ex mate now you've cut up his waders :)
That wetsuit idea looks like a good one

bit of bike tube works well, slice longways into sections about 150-200 long and 25-40 wide. Start near lens and wrap toward rings. Cut small stringy bits to tie around the loose end of the wrap. Once you have tied the stringy bits you can cut the tails short.
When you do the section between the rings, run the wrap across the bottom of the scope at the adjustment turrets.

3” length of bicycle inner tube slipped over and taped on each end of the scope.
The front one keeps lense dry but does reduce light entering the scope.
