open sight question
Hi Guys
Getting a little ahead of myself but have a question related to using open sights
I am putting a Sako Peep on my Sako 75 amd will need to purchase a front ramp and Post/Bead to suit
I am also planning on fitting a hood.
At this stage I am thinking Williams streamlined Ramp, firesight Bead and Firesight Hood as it has a cutout to get the fibreoptic lit up.
So my question is will I have to have the bead centered in the hood, will it matter if its out by a couple of mm. Diameter of the hood is 16mm.
Anybody have any experience with a similar set up, would like to hear your thoughts.
Cheers
Dino

Shouldn't matter, when focusing on aligning the bead within the peep you won't notice the hood

I agree with MSL although all the open sights I've used I don't think any have a hood. Peeps naturally centre things pretty well.

Most people remove the hood as its not really needed, or it gets hooked up on something and pings off into oblivion.
