Rate the three Kahles I have, the modern KX and love the two old steelies from the 70's.
nightforce been everywhere Especially if you wear glasses
This quiz is no good as its the high end market thats possibly the best that will never win to loopies / others
or mid range pricing.
Having wider ownership is a different question
Khales.
Sig Sauer Optics
Love my Monarch would have to spend a lot more to get something better
Minox on the hmr, Tasco on the 22.
now i hate to say it one of my favourite scopes was a tasco. it was the 3-12x50 30mm tube. i think it was "world class"
anyway i sold a vx1 leupold and threw this on my 22, hell it was like night vision at damn and dusk, never varied off zero and had beautiful japanese lenses.
then a few years later i tried another tasco scope with the same model number and it was horrid.
currently on mt 10/22 i run a BSA 3-12x50. had no issues with it at all either. i also run nikko, leupold, minox
For me its Swarovski and a couple of Nikon's. But I've owned and liked a couple of leupold scopes over the years
Meopta
Swarovski
S&B
Honestly I won't be buying another top brand scope.O have been blown away by the quality of Meopta.
Leupold VX 1 on me Howa.
Poll should have been whats your best scope in a certain price range.. Top end will always be better if you can afford them. My budget doesnt allow for top end
but i have been quite happy with mid range scopes that have worked well for me.
Bushnell elite on my 243 has been a great bush scope, Leupold VX3i been pretty good on my 308 , esp in low light for the price. i got lucky and bought it brand new for mid range price (695)
A old tasco 3-9-40 world class was pretty darn good on the 243 before i replaced it. japan glass, bloody good for the price but crap now if you went and got one.
Wouldnt even put one on a 22 now if had the choice
Kahles 624i
I got a Burris Euro diamond 2.5-10 x 50 off trademe, so far this is the best glass I have. It's gone on my accidental 30 06
4x32 Tasco on Brno .22 for 30+ years.
Only sighted in when first purchased.

one out of the box is the scope on my Stirling 14p 22. Hubertus 4x32. Got the rifle second hand back in about 87
Crashed the motorbike with it on my back, broke the bolt handle off (had to be brazed back on). Scope never missed a beat. It was never nursed either.
Never fogged, always holds zero and sights in well.
Obviously lenses not as good as others but works well enough.
I also reckon its closer to 3x than 4. Everything just seems a little further away and more field of view. Never got around to confirming it against my vari powers.
Never seen another one. One day I'd like to put another scope on it but cant bring myself to do it. Haven't shot a group out of it in years. It always seemed to hit what I was aiming at. Don't want to ruin the legend
love my M8 4X on bush rifle
finnwolf has my last nikko stirling 3x9x40mm gold crown....they have the best field of view of any scope Ive used....beats loopy 2-7 and even the M8 4X they went to crap once manufacturing moved from Japan.
got a lovely kahles but being 8x its no good in bush...will try it later on again if do some more tops stuff.lovely and clear just piss poor field of view compared to the lower powers.
Yes, a "Take 2" could be to ask which scope you're most pleased with.
That would take into account the purpose and the price.
For instance, I've got a Hawke Vantage 3-12x40 on my 22 (mostly used for target practice) and it's just right for that:
Doesn't need to dial, just hold zero on 12x week after week.
Close focus is very important on a 22 and it's sharp as.
It doesn't need to be super bright but its pretty good and I don't need illumination.
It's nice that its light but I wouldn't rate it for heavy use out in the bush.
The reticle is a spindly mil hash which is fine for its purpose but would be useless for deer.
The scope also looks nice on a walnut and blue rifle.
I would have paid five times as much if I needed to, but neither Leupold nor S&B offer anything as well suited.
There you have it - it's the best scope you could hope for on a 22. In my opinion.
Have a Redfield that came with the Savage 22.250 I picked up second hand, so far has been great
You blokes don't know what a good scope even is ffs! I got me a Gun City RANGER! 3-26x59 Strikeforce super sniper, best scope there is! I know this cause the specialist scope ops man at Gun City told me, I feel sorry for you lot........:P
I'm a middle of the road guy
Mainly Leupolds, Bushnells & Sightrons
