Playing with 300 Blackout - Video

I shouted myself a Contour Roam camera, it's sort of like a Go-Pro and I got a picatinny mount for it so thought I'd shoot some footage with it mounted on my other new(ish) toy...

I can't get anything out of the gun safe without Stella latching on...

    Very cool.

Could you take a still photo of the camera mounted on the rifle please? I've tried all types of set ups with mixed results, but I have very little successful footage from this type of thing when its comes to action shots on animals. The recoil tends to cut out the footage and ''stall'' the camera.

Nope, I'm using 10 grains of AR2207 behind Sierra 220 Match Kings and running an empty carbine buffer and spring.

The unit seems pretty robust on it's own and is very simple to use, more so than a Go-Pro. As-is, it's waterproof to a metre. The lens can be rotated to compensate for off-set mounting.

Haha, put your tape away and check out Amazon. Right now, these things are US$119.95 and the picatinny mount is US$19.90 but Amazon wont ship them to NZ. Don't panic, 'coz for $20, ship2you will handle the shipping from the States... Can't be beat locally, even with the exchange rate and shipping... There're other Contour models, more expensive, that interface thru blue tooth to your iphone so you can use it as a view finder, but they're not as robust as this one.

What he said, sellotaping a camera to the under/over shooting pigeons didn't last long.
