    The Precision rimfire thread

This thread is for us to show off our “accuracy machine”
    Rimfire rifles

    Show us your rifles targets

If there’s enough interest enough interest
I might run a forum rimfire challenge probably “smallest group” just for fun
Ill design a Official target And make it available in PDF format
Would just be for fun as there will be no way to prove people aren’t cheating
And I think if i add prizes to the mix it just Encourages dishonesty

    Anyway here’s my 2

    Top is a
CZ 455 VARMINT THUMBHOLE FLUTED BARREL
    20 inch barrel
    Yo dave trigger
After market bottom metal (forget the brand)
    Pillar bedded
    Cz rail
    Burris zrings
Leupold vx3 6.5-20x40 efr (fine duplex)

    Bottom
    KIDD CUSTOM GRADE
    16.5 inch barrel
    2 stage trigger
    Burris zrings
Weaver grand slam 6-20 (fine duplex with 1/8moa dot in the Center)

Both rifles are capable of 1/2moa at 50 with the right ammo when i do my part

Heres is a group at 50m from the kidd with the cheapest ammunition known to man agula hollow point subsonic
Not the kind of ammo I would normally feed this Beast but fogot the match ammo and happened to have a box of this in my bag as you can see it shot it pretty well for cheap ammo
    0.81moa at 50
    Or 0.41” ctc

Enjoy the Incoming banter and rimfire porn

Hey - fantastic thread idea. I've been trying for years to complete the Canadian Gun Nutz challege which is 5 groups of 5 shots at 50 (yards or meters) - all groups on the same page, all under 0.5". Its a bloody sight harder than it sounds. I got pretty close with a Annie 1416, but there was always "one group" that spoiled things. The Annie would produce groups in the 0.2" and 0.3's pretty regularly, but at the end of the day I think technique with such a light rifle was the main limiting factor.

The 10/22 heavy barrel (with Kidd trigger) that replaced it groups very consistently in the 0.6's and is a good deal easier to shoot well.

I'll dig out some target's and post pics.

I have a Lithgow LA101 coming, they have a pretty good rap for accuracy, and are a nice weight compromise between a HB and a hunting rifle, so maybe easier to shoot. Guess I'll find out.

You will not regret the lithgow. Accuracy is outstanding with most standard ammo. Cci standard and sub hollow point give good results.
You may want to order the replacement trigger spring as they are a tad heavy from the factory ( you would think that for the extra $20 that they cost that they would be shipped with one)
I’ve just fitted a 5-25x50 on mine to be able to shoot it out to 2&300m

Just checked terms for hire of photobucket's storing space with sharing rights - its $5.99US per month. But it will not even load payment options - so bit buggered there really.
Might be able to rescue a few but with their logo all over them Will try to load one here .... nope doesn't work.
