I had same issues with same rifle (and bipod). The stock on mine had a hole pre-drilled to allow installation of a proper stud, which has since been done on my stock and has resolved the issue entirely. There should be a little plastic/rubber plug just behind the front sling recess that you can pull out and expose the pre-drilled hole
How easy was the plug to remove, tried to get a v. small screwdriver in there and succeeded only in gouging the plastic and my hand!
