About LinkBacksConsider that you'll likely lose somewhere between 30-50 fps per inch of barrel that you remove, depending upon the individual barrel itself.
Impact speeds from the 6.5x55 at 400+ meters from a barrel cut to 18 inches will still kill things just fine with the A-Max's.
Speed is nice, accuracy is deadly.
