    I dont have experience with the 6.5x55 specifically but will chuck in ten cents.

    If it will always be suppressed go as short as you can, will make no noticeable difference at the ranges you mention.
    If you intend to shoot unsuppressed occasionally be aware that short barrels give SHITLOADS of muzzle blast and flash un suppressed.
