Radio pouches- what do you recommend and why?

Hi there, I’ve got a couple of 5watt expensive hand held radios. I’m looking to locate them in a pouch somewhere for convenient access eg patch shoulder strap or bino harness.
What brand pouches work well for you and why?
Any better ideas than a pouch where to locate close to hand? Obviously jersey pocket is handy but gets in the way sometimes…
Belt strap on pack usually gets in the way from a belt loading perspective .

Interested in your thoughts/ experience..

Hard to go past twin needle or Taurus

butchers coats have a dedicated GPS/Radio pouch set up on molleme type straps on left tit pocket...
works really well with a carabener clip to hold a gps,out in open so can keep reception. one thing Ive found with radios....tit pocket is right height any lower and aerial tries to pick your nose constantly....

I have been using the radio pouches Twin Needle make from time to time over recent years. Fit the bill and made from a tough material.

Just on your belt or pack waist strap.

If its going to be a radio intensive activity I use the forestry pouches, as my radios have pretty long antennae fitted. So they sit the radio on your chest at an angle, so stops the nose picking/eye gouging that occurs with long antennae sitting in a vertical pouch or chest pocket.

I mount the radio on my pack and have the lapel mic cable follow the LH pack strap and finishing just below chin level. Lets you keep volume low as its close to your ear and easy to manipulate the call button with the right hand. No poky poky with the antenna.
