    Rail for a Ruger American??

    Folks,

    Does anyone make a rail for the Ruger American?

    If yes, any available locally?

    I know nothing about them but a mate has bought one to turn into a bushpig/bail gun. Unfortunately he wants to run a red dot scope and is running into issues mounting it in the standard rings.

    School a guy that has never even picked one up.

    The ruger American comes standard with weaver style bases, are they no good?

    Apparently they won't work with the red dot he wants to use. I presume because of limited space on the tube? I've never held or even seen one so I have no idea.

    I told him he was fucking retard for buying it in the first place.
