"Calm waters have never made good Sailors, give the girl from the asylum a chance"
You can search Hodgon subsonic loads on the interwebs. They list 3.1gr of Titegroup for a sub load with 55gr bullet. The other powders they list are hard or impossible to get like trailboss etc. There is a bit of Titegroup around at the mo. I picked up a container just the other day.
Here you go, I load the projectiles backwards.
They flew nice the right way around but there's no expansion at this velocity so I experimented with them backwards.
They don't feed from the mag but they group well at 20m throrgh my 1-8" and there's a distinct smack when they hit a possum.
I originally bought titegroup for cast 38spl subs, it's a very efficient powder and not position sensitive

Another option. This is devil's advocate too.
22 ARC?
Keep it simple- hand me a model 7 7mm08 and I'll be right
Bolt face is a different size isn't it?

And the feeding could be questionable unless you change some stuff. And at least 223 can be found in every gun shop in the country if you ever forgot your box of ammo home .
From memory and I could be wrong but it'll be the same as a Grendel?
Designed to offer similar performance to a 22-250 but from a AR. Which doesn't in of itself apply to 99% of FAL holders but for something that's got a bit more legs to it than a 223 then it might be just the ticket?

ARC would be mean but there is no functional mag solution
