Recommend me a bipod?
I'm looking for a big, rigid bipod for an already heavy long range rifle, am I going to have to splash out for an Atlas? I see Hardy's make a nice-looking bipod for their Hybrid rifle for a bit less than an Atlas, they also do a lighter carbon fibre bipod that's around the same price as the Magpul one, but both of those look a bit too flexible.

I certainly wouldnt rate the Hardy bipods.
Id go atlas if you want to carry the rifle or Accutac if you want to just lie down and shoot

Flicked off my Atlas bipods, and upgraded to a MDT Ckye pod mkii. Much better all around - less leg wiggle, better range of height and width adjustment, tension of the bipod pan did not loosen with use.
Quick disconnect is actually quick, so it's easy to remove and attach if you want to carry it in your pack until you need it.
Cheaper and lighter option would be the NZ made Mtngear bipod, which unfortunately was not available when I was looking for an upgrade for the Atlas.

Ckyepods are certainly pretty sick, but not as stable as an accutac, just more adaptable. I reckon ckyepods are more a practical rifle bipod
Mtngear are a sweet hunting bipod, I’d like to get my hands on one

Tall model might be a bit long if you've only got a 20 inch barrel
