    Rem 700 SPS stainless 243

    Hi, looking at getting the above rifle for long range varmints and the odd deer. Are they any good? Will probably get a new stock and a Timney at some stage but straight out of the box how do they perform? Any opinions appreciated.

    Yep. I.have blued version. Cut to 18". Gunworks suppression. Bedded action. Gw worked trigger. Loaded 55gr nosler varmint bt's. Shoots an inch at 200m. This is at 100. . Set up for goats and roos.

    I use a burris signature select ballistic recticle. Would like a vortex.

    Go for it there is nothing wrong with them I have the blued synthetic in 270 and happy with it even though I do want to get it pillar bedded at some stage.
