A couple of hundy (including scope)? Personally wouldn't bother with it, they are about the worst production rifle out there.

For not much more than his asking, you could buy a brand new Ruger American with a scope as a package, not my cup of tea, but as a new rifle for bush bashing with, hard to beat. Have a mate bought one and he seems real happy with it.

for the price the guy is asking for it you can do way better than that I would take an old M96 mauser any day over a 770
