    Rifle value

Hypothetically speaking, if I were to sell my Remington Model 7, what should I be asking for it? It's a stainless synthetic in 260 remington (load development done, 120 amax and 139 Scenar) has been bedded and has a gunworks suppressor, it's a 1 in 9" twist model (first 260 rem model 7's were 1 in 10") has a one piece base/rail and a Zeiss terra 3-9x42 with RZ6 ballistic reticle in Leupold PRW steel rings. It's just a distant thought at the moment but I have no clue as to what it's worth. I see the odd model 7 come up on trademe etc but no very rarely stainless ones and even more rarely in 260

If in very good condition then general rule is to work on around 2/3 of what it cost you new if selling privately. Add or subtract a small amount either side dependant on condition.
People or shops in 'the trade' will often offer 1/3-1/2 of what you would buy it for new if you were trading it in or selling to them to on sell.

In my experience, you are always better off selling rifle and scope separately, you will net more $

Keep it, If you sell it you will only be kicking itself for selling it at a later date!!

All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

I'd agree with that. What else would you want. Nice calibre & nice rifle.

I know very well the feeling of sellers-remorse but also sometimes look at all the money I have tied up in various things that get little to no use, mainly due to never having any bloody time to enjoy them.

Whats your internal mag length for your 7SAUM and mag capacity? Fit and feeding an issue? @7mmsaum

Magazine internal length on one of mine is 2.840 inches

    Ammo length is 2.820

Another here has ammo at 2.810

    Another at 2.930
    Another 2.950
    Another 2.990
    Another 2.996
    Another 2.998

    Mag holds 2

Fit and feeding never an issue when feed rails and mag follower sorted right.

Your gunsmith will have the skills to make any necessary adjustments

Short action saums can have ammo around 2.810 - 2.950 inches long depending on individual mag boxes and rifling/chambering dimensions.

Long action saums can have ammo almost any length you want

A saum improved suits the SA and LA platform over the mod 7 mag box

My "houston warehouse" bull barrel for the model 7 platform has ammo at 3.185 inches long to increase powder capacity, they do not fit the magazine
